Situation
In September 1997, AMG Logistics was approached by a major food manufacturer for immediate warehousing
and distribution assistance. The client's own facility was damaged and would
be unsuitable for storage and shipment for 6 weeks. During this period, the client stressed that shipments must continue
uninterrupted.
Solution
AMG was able to provide immediate short term help. Within one
week, 10,000 cases of product were being shipped per day. Inventories were transferred from the client's warehouse to our
facility, using our in-house carrier, First Team Transport, among others. We responded to the client's requirements and
handled the additional workload effortlessly.
Results
After six weeks, the client was ready to move back into its
own facility and AMG Logistics was able to provide the data necessary to complete the client's internal documentation
requirements.
